Pam

I met Pam at work, she came to the practice to be euthanized. She is a beautiful long haired cat with stunning green eyes, with no health or behavior problems. But the owner didn't want her anymore and she wouldn't consider re-homing her. After a long chat with this client, she finally agreed to sign her over to me with the promise that I would keep her. At that point we just had our 2 dogs and we didn't want a cat.For 3 days she didn't leave the corner of our living-room. One day she opened up to us and since then it has been a long process that took years to win her trust, now we can pick her up, kiss her and carry her around. She is an exceptional cat, you barely notice her in the house unless you sit on the sofa, then there is nothing you can do to stop her from sleeping on your lap.Pam definitely rules the house, all the other cats are on their best behavior when in her presence. If they play too rough or make too much noise she won't hesitate to put everyone in their place.

Our rescues: About

Thor and Loki

Thor and Loki were brought at work by a member of the public when they were just a few weeks old. They where found near a road trying to feed from their dead mum, they were cover in fleas and ticks. Their feet were cover in maggots feeding from them and they were very underweight. It was a busy evening at the hospital so i decided to take them home to look after them, no need to say that we fell in love straight away and they never went back to the hospital. Loki is the perfect cat, he is affectionate, loves sleeping between us in bed and he is very playful. Thor had 2 cardiac arrests when he was just a few weeks old, luckily he got better and he is now in perfect health. He is our high maintenance cats, he suffers from anxiety and food obsession. He loves affection and he will suckle like a kitten from our clothes, drooling all over us. These two brothers are inseparable.

Our rescues: About Us

Hela, Aria and Dexter

A stray cat was brought at work by a cat rescue center, she had difficulties delivering her kittens. I helped her to deliver a large kitten that was stuck in her birth canal. She had five healthy and beautiful kittens. After a few days with her kittens she never produced any milk due to her poor condition. The rescue center didn't had anyone to hand rear them, so we took them on and enjoy every second of it, even when we had to wake up every two hours.
Once they were ready we found homes for two of the kittens and we kept three.
Hela was love at first sight, she is no doubt mommies girl. She is very antisocial with other cats and people, but she is my special girl. She will follow me around, talk to me and play fetch. She is very agile and an extraordinary hunter. Hela is our only cat that roams free, no cat proof fence company can keep this petite and agile cat in. She is a free spirit.
Dexter is big and handsome boy. He was given back to us because apparently, he was too fluffy. He is our guard dog, he patrols the garden thoroughly and greets visitors. Dexter is very affectionate and loves his walks on the harness.
Nobody liked Aria because she is black long haired cat and at the time everyone was after a gray kitten, leaving the rescue centers with many black kittens waiting for adoption.
She is very sweet and affectionate, loves her grooming sessions and her playtime, she is very sociable and gentle, always the first one to introduce herself to the new arrivals.

Ivar

Ivar was found in a field unable to move when he was around four months old. He was brought to the practice to be euthanized. He was terrified and paralyzed, just able to slightly move his head. I offered some food and he gulped down, so I decide to look after him during the weekend and hoped for any signs of improvement. Unfortunately he didn't improve, but I couldn't put him down so we decided to adopt him and take him home. After many test we still didn't know what caused his condition, the specialist suspected a head trauma and he was given a guarded prognosis. We spent three months changing his nappies and doing physiotherapy, wondering if we were cruel for keeping him like this. We took him on holidays to Scotland and as soon we arrived to this enchanted land, he started trying to walk, by the time we came back home from holidays he was able to walk! He is now a healthy cat, very playful and loving, able to run, jump and play. He is a bit wobbly and doesn't coordinate his front legs very well, but he is perfect to us. He is the center of attention of all the girls, he is a gentleman and loves spending time with them.He has recently being diagnosed with a heart disease that we monitor closely. We hope that he will have a long happy life with us as we cannot imagine a life without him.

Our rescues: Welcome

Dawa

Dawa was brought to the practice by someone who left her in the waiting room and left without saying anything. She was very young, underweight, dehydrated and collapsed. She was in such a horrible state that everyone told me that she was too far gone and it was kinder to put her down.
She was for sure one of the most challenging patients to keep alive, but totally worth the effort. After a few days she was stable, playful and letting us know who was the boss.
She is very loving cat, always under her terms, she adores Ivar and doesn't appreciate Pam as she thinks she could be a much better alpha cat.
