About us

How did we become Maine Coon breeders?

Everything started in 2015 when i met my husband, a truly animal lover, what in combination with myself, a Veterinary Surgeon and a cat lover, was the perfect recipe for madness.
Since then, we have been rescuing animals in need, from wildlife to sick cats from veterinary practices that were about to be euthanized, to give them a second chance.
After a few years we had a family of 8 cats and many other animals, looking after them was the best part of our lives.
It was then, when we decided to become hobby breeders of Maine Coons and dedicate our time to what we love the most.
Wintersouls is a small family run cattery located in North Norfolk. Our cats are part of the family, they sleep with us, have full access to our house and a very large cat proof garden, where they can explore, hunt and behave like cats.

Our priority is the health of our cats, all of them have tested negative for HCM, PKDef and SMA. Before introducing them to the rest of the family they get tested for FIV/FeLV, Calicivirus, Chlamydia and Herpesvirus and we perform regular fecal tests.

Socializing our cats is very important to us to become the perfect pet for their new owners. We are very proud of all our cats, including our rescues, all of them exceptional pets, gentle, sweet and loving.

We believe that this is only achievable if they are raised in a home as part of the family and not in cattery pens.

No expenses are spared in ensuring our cats have the best possible life and that the kittens become a wonderful addition to their new family. If you would like more information about our kittens, please click bellow on "Kittens" section. Our Maine Coons are registered with TICA and they come from European lines, imported from Russia and Latvia. They were chosen for their friendly temperament and type. Visit our "Studs" and "Queens" section to learn more about each one of them.
